Why you cannot see objects in a dark room

Answer»
We see thingswhen the light from a particularobjectis received by our eyes.Butwhen there isdarkness, noobjectis reflecting lights. Hence there is no change of receiving light from thoseobjectsand thereforewecan'tseeit. That's why it is called "darknessis the absence of light only"

Whe we see an object, we are actually seeing the light that is reflected off of it. Different materials reflect different frequencies of light in different ways and we interpret this as color. Things that don’t reflect light look black (they absorb rather than reflect light, that’s why your black pants will feel warmer than your white T-shirt on a sunny day). When it’s dark that means that there is no light (from the sun or bulbs) to be reflected so no objects reflect light, so everything looks black.

In summary, our eyes are like antennae for light waves and our brain uses that info to “see”, if there are no light waves to receive then we can’t see.

Just like a radio can’t play a song if it’s not receiving any radio waves. Maybe it’s not receiving waves because the station isn’t broadcasting ( comparable to the sun going down and the lights turned off) or because the antenna is broken (blindness).

Or you can think of it as not being able to load a webpage when your internet is shut off. The webpage still exists but you can’t see it because you don’t have a signal.

86. HIV can replicate in the followingcells of the human bodya. Helper T cellsb. Kupffer cellsc. Neutrophilsd. All of the above

Answer»
Answer is (a) helper T cells

can u explain plis

Within these bodily fluids, HIV is present as both free virus particles and virus withininfectedimmune cells. HIV infects vital cells in the human immune system such as helper T cells (specifically CD4+T cells), macrophages, and dendritic cells.

The HIV virus attacks a type of white blood cellcalled T-helper cells (also called CD4 cells). These cells are important when it comes to having a healthy immune system as they help us fight off diseases and infections.

HIV cannot grow or reproduce on its own. Instead, it makes new copies of itself inside T-helper cells. This damages the immune system and gradually weakens our natural defences. This process of infected T-helper cells multiplying is called the HIV life cycle.

How quickly the virus develops depends on your overall health, how early you are diagosed and started on treatment, and how consistently you take your treatment. It’s important to know thatantiretroviral treatmentwill keep the immune system healthy if taken correctly, preventing the symptoms and illnesses associated with AIDS developing.

option A.

what are the two most essential conditions for a chemical reaction to take place?Give one example of each

Answer»
Ans :- Reactions require an input of energy to initiate the reaction; this is called the activation energy (EA).

Activation energy is the amount of energy required to reach the transition state.

The source of the activation energy needed to push reactions forward is typically heat energy from the surroundings.

For cellular reactions to occur fast enough over short time scales, their activation energies are lowered by molecules called catalysts.

Enzymes are catalysts.

EXERCISES1. Why is reproduction essential for organisms?2. Which is a better mode of reproduction: sexual or asexual? Why?3. Why is the oflspring formed by asexual reproduction referred to as clone?4. Offspring formed due to sexual reproduction have better chances ofsurvival. Why? Is this statement always true? How does the progeny formed from asexual reproduction differ fromthose formed by sexual reproduction?Distinguish between asexual and sexual reproduction. Why is vegetativereproduction also considered as a type of asexual reproduction?5..

Answer»
Sexual reproduction is considered to be a better mode of reproduction because it creates a hybrid that has more vigor than the parents. It also leads to variations that enable organisms to adapt to the changing or prevailing environment.

1229.

19. Write two points of differences between sexual reproduction and asexual reproduciowhy variations are observed in the offspring formed by sexual reproduction

Answer»
Ans :-

The differences between sexual and asexual reproduction are following.1.in sexual reproduction two parents are involved but in sexual reproduction only one parent is involved .

2.sex cells or gametes are involved in sexual reproduction but no cells are involved in asexual reproduction.

3.in sexual reproduction the young ones are not exactly copy of the parent but in asexual reproduction young ones are exact copy of the parent.

During sexual reproduction two different parent i.e. male and female take part as a result of which the newly formed zygote possess genetic material of both parents. It leads to interchange of genetic information between two gametes which is passed to the progeny and develops variation. Offsprings produced as a result of sexual reproduction are genetically different from the parents due to the process of meiosis, during which crossing over takes place which creates recombination.

Answer»
Total EMF in circuit will be 1.5 ×4 = 6 v +1.5v =7.5 v because EMFs between D and C are in parallel and this combination is in series with 1.5 v in AB. Now total resistance is in branch AD is 6 ohm as all resistance are in parallel. Total resistance of ckt is 6+1.8=7.8 ohm . Now total current I will be 7.5/7.8 = 0.96 A.

wrong
