Solve : Any Video causes all to freeze?

Answer»

I have a problem where, whilst i watch a video, my computer locks down completely and won't let me do anything at all. Currently it has happened three times for me all on different locations (Windows Media player, YOUTUBE and Another Website) so I doubt that being the problem. It only happens after a while and I'm afraid it will happen while i work on something more important than a video.

More Info:

- I RUN Windows 8.1
- I have CHECKED the drivers in "DEVICE Manager" without much luck
- Currently its only happened during a video
- The videos have all been different
- The only solution I've found is to choke my computer (Hold the ON button til it shuts down)

Please respond if you know anything, Anything at all. Even a comment with "Yeah it happens to me too" is helpful

Thank you for your attention
Did you try running a video in Safe Mode?Quote from: SuperDave on January 04, 2015, 12:44:02 PM

Did you try running a video in Safe Mode?

No I have not as it does not happen instantly after i turn the video on. It seems to occur at random and there is no warning for when it happensPlease tell me the size of the hard drive and how much free space you have. Please try this: Open Windows Task Manager and check which process is spiking.I suggest that you check your video card if it is working properly.Quote from: trym392 on January 04, 2015, 12:24:21 PM
I have a problem where, whilst i watch a video, my computer locks down completely and won't let me do anything at all.
