Solve : bitlocker and secpol.msc? |
Answer» <html><body><p>I'm running Windows 8.1 and initially had bitlocker among my apps, but I reinstalled to <a href="https://interviewquestions.tuteehub.com/tag/factory-982849" style="font-weight:bold;" target="_blank" title="Click to know more about FACTORY">FACTORY</a> settings and it disappeared! It's still in the O.S., I can find it in Windows, but it does nothing. I can't enable it because I don't have secpol.msc. Is there some other way to enable bitlocker so I can use it? Thanks for any help. I can't find anything on the net of use.<br/><br/>Never tried Windows 8 secpol but see - <a href="http://www.computerperformance.co.uk/win8/windows8-secpol-msc.htm">http://www.computerperformance.co.uk/win8/windows8-secpol-msc.htm</a><br/>Quote</p><blockquote>A <a href="https://interviewquestions.tuteehub.com/tag/common-923599" style="font-weight:bold;" target="_blank" title="Click to know more about COMMON">COMMON</a> <a href="https://interviewquestions.tuteehub.com/tag/problem-25530" style="font-weight:bold;" target="_blank" title="Click to know more about PROBLEM">PROBLEM</a> is that even though you type precisely secpol.msc, Windows 8 cannot find secpol.msc. The most likely cause is that you have the Home Premium edition. It's most disappointing that you only get secpol.msc in the Ultimate, Professional (old Business) and <a href="https://interviewquestions.tuteehub.com/tag/enterprise-3569" style="font-weight:bold;" target="_blank" title="Click to know more about ENTERPRISE">ENTERPRISE</a> editions, and not in the Windows 8 Home Premium or Basic editions</blockquote></body></html> | |
