Solve : Blue Screen of Death starting Windows?

Answer»

Ok, this is a tough one.

I haven't done much on this XP machine except MSN messenger and Internet Browsing.

One day I STARTED it, and it says:

We APOLOGIZE for the inconvenience but Windows did not start successfully.

No matter what option I choose, safe mode, normal boot, debug, etc...

All fail, it starts, goes to the Windows Logo and crashes to a BSoD that flashes once, and I cannot do anything else than that, it just restarts again....

Here is the STOP code info:

*** STOP: 0x0000007B (0xF78A6528,0xC0000034,0x00000000,0x00000000)

And it doesn't give any more info than that, rather than
"Check for viruses on your computer. Remove any newly installed hard drives or hard drive controllers..." You know the rest, nerds.

The following programs I have used to Modify this Windows Machine:

BootSkin

"Da Mac" bootskin applied... Seemingly it just shows the Xp Boot Logo. \

StarDock WindowBlinds

For Mac-Look 'n feel
and Safari Buttons and browser changes.

This should be enough system modifications to confuse a Windows machine, I bet.

Just WANTED to put that in, if anybody should tell me that is a Bad idea. (To modify Windows with 3rd party applications).

If anybody can help, that'd be great.

Please assist me, also: This is a different computer, so it's not the same as my current PC which had a Windows XP Pro SP3 on a MBR.

Yes, I'm pretty sure this XP Pro has SP3, because I know for a fact its the 3rd service pack install disk/pack I applied.

Thanks in advance for the help. if I get any.

***EDIT: As an addition, I wonder if it's possible I got a virus through MSN... :O I have been spammed by Porn-Bots quite a bit on there, which accidentally clicking one of their links..
From MSDN:

Quote

0x0000007B: INACCESSIBLE_BOOT_DEVICE
(Click to CONSULT the online MSDN article.)
Windows lost access to the system partition or boot volume during the startup process.
