Solve : BSOD Netio.sys crashing. uTorrent IPv6 the cause??

Answer»

Hiya

I'm getting serious BLUE screens when CONNECTED to the internet, dump file below.

Running Win7 64bit, I have just UPDATED network drivers for my Realtek Wireless LAN adapter and the Atheros Ethernet controller. I also seem to have a Belkin desktop PCI Card in Network ADAPTERS - not sure if I can disable this as I use wireless LAN via the Realtek?

Anyway here's the dump file. I run MS Security Essentials and cannot see my old AV in "Uninstall" list to see if there are any clashes as I already uninstalled it. I was on BITDEFENDER once.

ONE MORE THING - I see there can be issues with uTorrent and IPv6... should I turn this off? (As per here http://www.durofy.com/fix-driver_irql_not_less_or_equal-netio-sys-bsod/) and if I do, will utorrent die?

Thanks!!

081614-36753-01.dmp 16/08/2014 10:32:15 PM DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL 0x000000d1 00000000`00000028 00000000`00000002

00000000`00000000 fffff880`0155b6fd NETIO.SYS NETIO.SYS+106fd x64 ntoskrnl.exe+75b80

C:\Windows\Minidump\081614-36753-01.dmp 4 15 7601 274,672 16/08/2014 10:33:43 PM
081614-48687-01.dmp 16/08/2014 9:41:43 PM DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL 0x000000d1 00000000`00000028 00000000`00000002

00000000`00000000 fffff880`016516fd NETIO.SYS NETIO.SYS+106fd x64 ntoskrnl.exe+75b80

C:\Windows\Minidump\081614-48687-01.dmp 4 15 7601 274,672 16/08/2014 9:43:30 PM
081614-52962-01.dmp 16/08/2014 9:33:52 PM DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL 0x000000d1 00000000`00000028 00000000`00000002

00000000`00000000 fffff880`015166fd NETIO.SYS NETIO.SYS+106fd x64 ntoskrnl.exe+75b80

C:\Windows\Minidump\081614-52962-01.dmp 4 15 7601 274,672 16/08/2014 9:36:01 PM
081614-38298-01.dmp 16/08/2014 8:03:57 PM DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL 0x000000d1 00000000`00000028 00000000`00000002

00000000`00000000 fffff880`0175a6fd NETIO.SYS NETIO.SYS+106fd x64 ntoskrnl.exe+75b80

C:\Windows\Minidump\081614-38298-01.dmp 4 15 7601 315,472 16/08/2014 8:05:29 PM
081614-28610-01.dmp 16/08/2014 7:11:47 PM DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL 0x000000d1 00000000`00000028 00000000`00000002

00000000`00000000 fffff880`017986fd NETIO.SYS NETIO.SYS+106fd x64 ntoskrnl.exe+75b80

C:\Windows\Minidump\081614-28610-01.dmp 4 15 7601 315,472 16/08/2014 7:16:50 PM
Try Here...

Seems torrenting is the root cause... Thanks for that.

Well then, that thread was most interesting as I also have (HAD) Networx running like that BSOD sufferer.

I have now uninstalled it via Control Panel but is there a way I can see that it is totally gone? This issue is now SOLVED - it was NETWORX running when torrenting.

Removed Networx, and the problem is fixed.
