Solve : Can't install, cannot access disk?

Answer» <html><body><p>Hi,<br/><br/>When I'm trying to install XP, I get to the point where it asks me where to install, and instead of a list of partitions, I get a messege,<br/><br/>"8057 mb disk 0 at id0 on bus 0 on atapi (setup cannot <a href="https://interviewquestions.tuteehub.com/tag/access-846773" style="font-weight:bold;" target="_blank" title="Click to know more about ACCESS">ACCESS</a> this disk.)"<br/><br/>It's a 320 GB Seagate SATA drive, brand new. This computer has no floppy drive, and there are none that work here. I tried burning the <a href="https://interviewquestions.tuteehub.com/tag/intel-517007" style="font-weight:bold;" target="_blank" title="Click to know more about INTEL">INTEL</a> SATA <a href="https://interviewquestions.tuteehub.com/tag/drivers-21170" style="font-weight:bold;" target="_blank" title="Click to know more about DRIVERS">DRIVERS</a> to a custom install CD with nLite, but that produced the same results. After Windows is up and running, you can add the second drive.Check your bios, make sure your sata <a href="https://interviewquestions.tuteehub.com/tag/controller-769272" style="font-weight:bold;" target="_blank" title="Click to know more about CONTROLLER">CONTROLLER</a> is set to ATA, not AHCI. Otherwise the computer wont see the drive when trying to install XP in some cases.</p></body></html>
