I don't believe copying files or folders to a DVD R/W drive by using the "Send to" feature can be used in Vista...

I know you can't do it using Windows XP, either. Now...if you had a CD R/W drive...then you'd be able to.

Do you have any type of software installed on your computer that allows you to copy DVDs? If so...you may be able to use this software to copy the data you want to the DVD burner.ooops!

AS i say, no thining installed like that. cause i just used a friends laptop, this one to temp store these few files.

So, no easy way to transfer them to to cd to move to my own laptop? Just for kicks and giggles...do you have a CD R you can use...instead of a DVD R?

You can try it, but I'm not certain this drive will allow you to copy to CDs.

Try to copy the files and folders using a CD instead of a DVD...and LET us knoiw if it worked...okay? Just use the same "Send to"...but use a CD instead.nah...seems not to have any response either.....

pain in the *** really need to do it today...

Any where you know online i can upload a folder to and draw it doewn on my own laptop?

THanks for al the helpYou're welcome...

I've never really used an online file storage service...maybe someone else has. I did, however, find this for you...after doing a search: http://techmagazine.ws/free-online-file-storage/

I hope you find something on that page that can help you.

All my best...Thanks very much SAvious for all your help..

Its much appreciated. thanks Again...you're welcome...I'm glad I could help...even THOUGH we weren't able to tranfer the files to the DVD.
