Solve : Deleting user account?

When I did this windows says I can't delete that account as it is logged on. So I logged off and logged on again making sure I was logged onto the account I wanted to keep. It still says that I am logged on and can't delete it. So I switched to the other account and tried to delete  the account I wanted but it said I needed to log off it before I could delete it. I am stuck .
