Saving Is a Good Habit 

Extravagance loses what Industry (कड़ी मेहनत) gains. Our ancestors lived a simple and frugal life. They laid emphasis on saving against a rainy day. A sudden disease, an accident or emergency may occur without warning any time. Naturally, extra money is needed for its remedy. A person who has not thought of such misfortunes will be in a difficult situation like the grasshopper who saved nothing for the winter. He went to the wise ant to borrow food.

But the ant disappointed him saying “We ants never borrow, we ants never lend”. The youth of today under the impact of western culture is aping the latest fashions. Fashions change rapidly and give place to new ones. He has become a reckless consumer. He borrows to gratify his wild desires. In this race, he is always a loser. He lives life only for today and never thinks of the future.

Wisdom lies in living a simple and frugal life. Saving habit will always help him like a faithful friend. The saved money will help him discharge his duties to his children as well as to his old parents. He will live a happy life without worries.

A hard earner saves wisely and spends wisely. One may get a very good salary but without the habit of saving, he shall always spread out hands for help. Saving habit assures a happy present and a safe future.

बचत एक अच्छी आदत

जो कुछ कठोर परिश्रम कमाता है फिजूल खर्ची उसे खो देती है। हमारे पूर्वज सादा और कम खर्च का जीवन बिताते थे। वे आड़े समय के लिय बचत पर जोर देते थे। अचानक बीमारी, दुर्घटना या कोई भी आपातकालीन आवश्यकता कभी भी चेतावनी के बिना आ सकती है। स्वाभाविक है कि इस के उपचार के लिये काफी पैसे की आवश्यकता होगी। एक ऐसा व्यक्ति जिसे ऐसी मुसीबतों का पूर्ण विचार नहीं है वह टिड्डे की तरह विकट परिस्थितियों में फंसेगा जिसने शीतकाल के लिये कुछ नहीं बचाया।

वह बुद्धिमान चींटी के पास सहायता मांगने के लिये गया परन्तु चींटी ने यह कहकर निराश कर दिया हम चींटियाँ न उधार लेती हैं ना उधार देती हैं। पाश्चात्य सभ्यता के प्रभाव में आज का नौजवान फैशन की नकल कर रहा है। फैशन तो तेजी से बदलते हैं और अपना स्थान नये फैशन को दे देते हैं। वह निरंकुश रूप से पैसे को बर्वाद करने वाला हो गया है। अपनी असीमित इच्छाओं को पूरा करने के लिये वह उधार लेता है। इस नकल करने की दौड़ में वह सदा हारता है। वह केवल आज का जीवन व्यतीत करता है और भविष्य की नहीं सोचता।

बुद्धिमानी सादा और कम खर्च का जीवन व्यतीत करने में है। बचाने की आदत सदा वफादार मित्र की तरह उसकी सहायता करेगी। बचाया हुआ पैसा उसको अपने बच्चों के प्रति और वृद्ध माता-पिता के प्रति जिम्मेदारियां निभाने में सहायता करेगा। वह चिन्तारहित आनन्दमय जीवन व्यतीत करेगा।

मेहनत से कमाने वाला बुद्धिमानी से बचाता है और बुद्धिमानी से खर्च करता है। किसी व्यक्ति को कितना ही अच्छा वेतन मिलता हो परन्तु बचाने की आदत के बिना वह सदा ही सहायता के लिये हाथ फैलायेगा। बचाने की आदत खुशहाल वर्तमान और सुरक्षित भविष्य की गारंटी है।
