Anti-social Habits and Practices

Every man will become an outcaste in the society if through faulty up-bringing and training he inculcates anti-social habits. His company is not liked by others and he is treated with indifference.

Customs, traditions and practices are socially approved habits but there are some anti-social practices which hinder the progress of mankind. Some of them are-child marriage, untouchability, communalism and casteism, dowry system, etc. Marriage at an immature age is harmful for the couple. There are several prohibitive legislations but it still persists. Casteism has been struck off from the country by the Constitution of India but it is still present and eroding our social fabric. Dowry system has taken a very ugly shape in the present day. Social legislation seems to be ineffective in curbing this evil.

Anti-social habits of people not only hinder the progress of their families but also hinder the progress of the society and the nation. So we should develop social consciousness against then if we want to save our society and our country and promote social welfare of the people. Antisocial habits can be controlled by enhancing the educational standard of the society.

असामाजिक आदतें और प्रथाएं

असामाजिक आदतें एवं अभ्यास। प्रत्येक वह व्यक्ति जो गलत लालन-पालन या प्रशिक्षण के द्वारा असामाजिक आदतें विकसित कर ले, वह जाति से बाहर हो जाता है। उसकी संगति दूसरों के द्वारा पसंद नहीं की जाती है और उसके साथ उपेक्षित व्यवहार किया जाता है।

रीति-रिवाज, परंपराएँ तथा आचरण सामाजिक रूप से स्वीकार्य आदतें होती हैं, किन्तु कुछ असामाजिक व्यवहार होते हैं। जो मानवता के विकास में बाधक होते हैं। उनमें से बाल विवाह, अस्पृश्यता, जातिवाद, संप्रदायवाद व दहेज प्रथा आदि कुछ प्रमुख हैं। अपरिपक्व आयु में विवाह दंपत्ति के लिए नुकसानदायक है। अनेक कानूनी प्रतिबंधों के बाद भी यह अभी व्याप्त है। भारत के संविधान के द्वारा जातिवाद को समाप्त किया जा चुका है लेकिन यह अभी भी हमारे समाज के तानेबाने को तहस-नहस कर रहा है।

वर्तमान में दहेज प्रथा ने अत्यधिक बुरा रूप ले लिया है। सामाजिक कानून इस बुराई को रोकने में बेअसर प्रतीत होता है। लोगों की असामाजिक आदतें न सिर्फ उनके परिवारों की उन्नति को बाधित करती हैं बल्कि समाज व राष्ट्र की प्रगति को भी बाधित करती हैं। इसलिये यदि हम अपने समाज, देश को बचाना चाहते हैं तो हमें सामाजिक जागरुकता उत्पन्न करनी चाहिये और लोगों के सामाजिक उत्थान को बढ़ावा देना चाहिये। समाज के शैक्षिक स्तर में वृद्धि करके असामाजिक आदतों को नियंत्रित किया जा सकता है।
