Answer» <html><body><p>I know that microsoft has given out a generic code for 98se after they dropped support for it. Has <a href="https://interviewquestions.tuteehub.com/tag/anyone-380251" style="font-weight:bold;" target="_blank" title="Click to know more about ANYONE">ANYONE</a> heard of one for xp?<br/>No such thing...Quote from: TheWaffle on October 14, 2012, 11:36:52 AM</p><blockquote>I know that microsoft has given out a generic code for 98se</blockquote><br/>That is a myth, as far as I know. Microsoft do not abandon or give away any OS, going right back to the <a href="https://interviewquestions.tuteehub.com/tag/earliest-963644" style="font-weight:bold;" target="_blank" title="Click to know more about EARLIEST">EARLIEST</a> MS-DOS. Anyhow, Windows XP is currently in the Extended Support phase until April 8, 2014, when all support, including new security updates and hotfixes, will be terminated. Users will still be able to <a href="https://interviewquestions.tuteehub.com/tag/download-11414" style="font-weight:bold;" target="_blank" title="Click to know more about DOWNLOAD">DOWNLOAD</a> old updates and hotfixes from Windows Update.<br/><br/><br/><br/><br/><br/><a href="https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_xp-windows_install/windows-98-key-code/b01460e4-74c3-460f-ae54-67aa4ebdf985">http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_xp-windows_install/windows-98-key-code/b01460e4-74c3-460f-ae54-67aa4ebdf985</a><a href="http://help.wugnet.com/windows2/Generic-Windows-98-Product-Key-ftopict490835.html">http://help.wugnet.com/windows2/Generic-Windows-98-Product-Key-ftopict490835.html</a><br/>That's just some guy posting a key on Wugnet. The other posters on that thread were, correctly, pretty doubtful, Windows 98 first and second editions are still copyrighted Microsoft products, and there is no "generic key" released by Microsoft. There are plenty of sources of keys that can be used illegally, but CH does not have <a href="https://interviewquestions.tuteehub.com/tag/anything-380254" style="font-weight:bold;" target="_blank" title="Click to know more about ANYTHING">ANYTHING</a> to do with that.Sorry, I posted the wrong link. This is the one I meant to post:<br/><a href="https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_xp-windows_install/windows-98-key-code/b01460e4-74c3-460f-ae54-67aa4ebdf985">http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_xp-windows_install/windows-98-key-code/b01460e4-74c3-460f-ae54-67aa4ebdf985</a><br/><br/>I was reading that post from that guy who posted the "cracked" keys and had the other page open at the same time and clicked on the wrong url</body></html>
