Try running the installer on compatible mode as suggested in the link. See if it works.
http://www.brighthub.com/computing/windows-platform/articles/86796.aspx
http://www.brighthub.com/computing/windows-platform/articles/86796.aspx?image=110082 Quote from: jason2074 on January 14, 2011, 10:46:38 PM
Ok. BSOD.The only thing I can think of now is a software installed on your machine is causing the BSOD when TRYING to install WLM. I have a previous software installer not able to run or work after double clicking the installer icon. What I did was disabled my Antivirus(Avira) and installed it Offline. In your case, it might be ideally related. A Firewall, Antivirus or anything might be the cause. If you can specify much information on these SOFTWARES, you might be able to work around the problem if indeed you believe its only the WLM installation thats causing your BSOD. Another thing is to redownload WLM. It might also be a software glitch EXPERIENCE by other though not sure.Nope, nothing worked.

Quote from: jason2074 on January 15, 2011, 02:22:44 AM
A Firewall, Antivirus or anything might be the cause.

But why would it only start happening now? And if that were the case i don't think it would be BSOD'ing.

Quote from: jason2074 on January 15, 2011, 02:22:44 AM
Another thing is to redownload WLM.
