Solve : how to load windows without a cd-rom drive??

Answer» <html><body><p>I have an older ibm <a href="https://interviewquestions.tuteehub.com/tag/aptiva" style="font-weight:bold;" target="_blank" title="Click to know more about APTIVA">APTIVA</a> laptop that does not load. I get the ntdlr is missing. There are no cr-rom or <a href="https://interviewquestions.tuteehub.com/tag/floppy-2085545" style="font-weight:bold;" target="_blank" title="Click to know more about FLOPPY">FLOPPY</a> drives. So i figured i <a href="https://interviewquestions.tuteehub.com/tag/would-3285927" style="font-weight:bold;" target="_blank" title="Click to know more about WOULD">WOULD</a> try attaching an external cdrom via usb and load windows. I changed my boot order and it will not load from the external cdrom. Anyone know any other ways i can get this laptop fixed? With no boot device other that the hard drive, you have MAJOR issues. I would look for another solution, like getting a floppy and/or CD if you intend to use it.I have an external cdrom drive that i connected via usb but it will not boot to it. the operating system on it is windows 2000. Is there a key i can press during start up that will send it into dos or <a href="https://interviewquestions.tuteehub.com/tag/safe-634049" style="font-weight:bold;" target="_blank" title="Click to know more about SAFE">SAFE</a> mode? You can press F8 during startup to boot into safe mode as far as I know, but I'm not 100% sure that will <a href="https://interviewquestions.tuteehub.com/tag/help-239643" style="font-weight:bold;" target="_blank" title="Click to know more about HELP">HELP</a> you boot from that external CD drive.</p></body></html>
