THAT's where you want to use either MoveOnBoot or Uninstaller (on the actual file in Windows Explorer, not on the desktop icon). Let's see what happens if you do that. I don't know if you'd want to go through the TROUBLE of creating a new user account (which you could delete immediately afterwards) just to get rid of this file, but if you do, here's how you would do it:

Log into the other account. In windows explorer navigate to C:\Users\Tommo\Desktop. Click on Organize then choose Folder and search options and click the View tab near the top. Under advanced settings, go to Hidden files and folders. Make sure that "Show hidden files, folders and drives" is checked.

Now move all of the files in the Desktop folder, EXCEPT the "dayna" file, to another location. Now open Command Prompt and go to C:\Users\Tommo and enter this command that will delete the desktop folder: RD /S Desktop Then create a new Desktop folder in C:\Users\Tommo and move all of your files back into it.

Finally, log out and then log into your regular user account to verify that the file is gone and all of your other desktop icons are there. If it is, you can safely delete the new account that you created if you want to.

I know that this is a lot of trouble to go through just to get rid of one file, but it should do the trick. thankyou so much it worked beautifully, i created a new account then navigated to my desktop and copied everything in to a new folder then i logged back into my proper account and TYPED that code in and then the file just dissapeared so then from this account i just cut and pasted every thing back, thankyou very very much =DWay to go! Hi Tommo,
I see the info notice says it can't be located on the desktop, perhaps only the symbol is on the desktop. I don't know what system you are USING but in Vista Ultimate, i would have a look in the programmes through the control panel on your computer. in control panel go to 'install and uninstall' a programme. As the icon on the desktop may not be where the programme or whatever it really is, is located.
cheers,
farmgalhi tommo,
sorry, didn't realise that there were two pages of replies. glad that you managed to solve the problem.
cheers,
Farmgal

Great forum!!! Thanks for the information guys. Now I know what to do when I encounter things like this.
