Answer» <html><body><br/>The internet explorer icon has disappeared from my start menu. This happened after I uninstall windows messenger. <br/><br/><br/><br/>Drag IE icon from desktop to <a href="https://interviewquestions.tuteehub.com/tag/startmenu-1224819" style="font-weight:bold;" target="_blank" title="Click to know more about STARTMENU">STARTMENU</a> (pin to startmenu). This will add IE to startmenu items........This is a very common issue I've seen before, which is very easily fixed. <br/><br/>1. Please right-<a href="https://interviewquestions.tuteehub.com/tag/click-918865" style="font-weight:bold;" target="_blank" title="Click to know more about CLICK">CLICK</a> the button that says 'Start' on it on the very left, bottom corner of the screen (that is, unless you moved the taskbar <a href="https://interviewquestions.tuteehub.com/tag/across-367070" style="font-weight:bold;" target="_blank" title="Click to know more about ACROSS">ACROSS</a> the screen). <br/><br/>2. Click Properties.<br/><br/>3. Click <a href="https://interviewquestions.tuteehub.com/tag/customize-2558795" style="font-weight:bold;" target="_blank" title="Click to know more about CUSTOMIZE">CUSTOMIZE</a>... and under the Internet list by the Show Internet checkbox, choose Internet Explorer.<br/><br/>4. Click OK in that box, then OK in the second box.<br/><br/>The Internet Explorer icon should appear on the Start menu. This is the more proper way to do it--rather than just <a href="https://interviewquestions.tuteehub.com/tag/dragging-2593687" style="font-weight:bold;" target="_blank" title="Click to know more about DRAGGING">DRAGGING</a> an icon to the top of the menu. The icon in the top is also linked to what browser Windows(R) will use as the default for some strange reason.</body></html> | |
