Solve : Moving "Users" folder from one HD to another in Vista?!?!?? |
Answer» <html><body><p>My lap <a href="https://interviewquestions.tuteehub.com/tag/top-344925" style="font-weight:bold;" target="_blank" title="Click to know more about TOP">TOP</a> has got two 50G hard drives on my <a href="https://interviewquestions.tuteehub.com/tag/laptop-1066410" style="font-weight:bold;" target="_blank" title="Click to know more about LAPTOP">LAPTOP</a> and I've filled up one of them. To free up some space on my Vista (C:) drive I wanted to move my USERS folder containing my profiles, docs, music, etc to my <a href="https://interviewquestions.tuteehub.com/tag/2nd-300843" style="font-weight:bold;" target="_blank" title="Click to know more about 2ND">2ND</a> (E:) drive.<br/><br/>If I drag the folder from the C: folder into the E: folder will this cause any problems? For example, will Windows Media Player know to send ripped songs to the E: drive? I would look at moving other items if possible...this is an easy way to cause issues with the machine although there are plenty of Tutorials on the web with <a href="https://interviewquestions.tuteehub.com/tag/instructions-1046362" style="font-weight:bold;" target="_blank" title="Click to know more about INSTRUCTIONS">INSTRUCTIONS</a> on how to do so...<br/>I've only ran this method on 3 builds but it makes it a real <a href="https://interviewquestions.tuteehub.com/tag/pain-594235" style="font-weight:bold;" target="_blank" title="Click to know more about PAIN">PAIN</a> to make a backup image that can be restored properly.<br/>This should be a consideration if you decide to do this...<br/></p></body></html> | |
