Solve : My windows is broken?

Answer»

I am running an HP laptop AMD dual core processor and 2 gigs of ram with Windows Vista SP1.

My problem...

The computer was running fine until recently, I think it was one of the updates from Microsoft that did it, either SP1 or another more recent not SURE but now I have multiple problems.

The computer won't start up control panel, I have to go to my computer and click on the expand arrow for control panel and open up the individual program from there. It won't start up windows media center or other random things like Freecell and most annoyingly it won't print. My printer is connected and "working" the scan function works but the actual printer won't.

Does anybody know what this might be or how to fix it?

Why have you not updated Windows to SP2?
