Solve : OS deleting itself?

Does it shut down normally?<br/><br/>When you start your machine do you have anything in the CD or DVD drive? What do you see on the screen when you start your machine?<br/><br/>well if i shut it down any way, restart it or otherwise it normally shuts down like it should. when i turn it back on i get a black screen saying missing operating system. doesnt change if i have anything in the drive aswellComputer under warranty?no  Go to your hard drive manufacturer web site, and download free diagnostic tool. I suspect, there is something wrong with your HD. Sounds like the MBR (Master Boot Record) can't be read or is getting lost.Do you know the make and model of your hard drive?<br/><br/>Also do you have more than one hard drive in the machine?<br/><br/></body></html>
