Answer» <html><body><p>The power supply in my old Windows XP computer went out, so I bought a new lap-top with the Vista OS.<br/><br/>I want to access the data from the old hard drive, and bought a case that provides power and a USB connection, thinking I could use it as an external drive on my new lap-top.<br/><br/>I've run into an <a href="https://interviewquestions.tuteehub.com/tag/endless-971262" style="font-weight:bold;" target="_blank" title="Click to know more about ENDLESS">ENDLESS</a> series of problems in getting "permissions" to to access the data on the old drive. I'd like to move lots of <a href="https://interviewquestions.tuteehub.com/tag/pictures-1154472" style="font-weight:bold;" target="_blank" title="Click to know more about PICTURES">PICTURES</a> and music to the lap-top in an efficeint manner. I don't have the time to do it individual <a href="https://interviewquestions.tuteehub.com/tag/file-11330" style="font-weight:bold;" target="_blank" title="Click to know more about FILE">FILE</a> by individule file.<br/><br/>Is there any way I can give mself "permission" to access all of the data on the my old drive?<br/><br/>Any comments would be greatly appreciated. <a href="https://interviewquestions.tuteehub.com/tag/thanks-665909" style="font-weight:bold;" target="_blank" title="Click to know more about THANKS">THANKS</a>!<br/><br/><br/><a href="https://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;308421">Travel Here...</a>In your case I would take ownership at the root of the drive and let the change propagate from there through the whole drive.</p></body></html> | |
