Answer» :'(WHEN I TRIED TO USE THE COMMAND OPEN WITH>CHOOSE PROGRAM... ON any OF MY APPLICATIONS A NOTEPAD POPPED UP AND IT comes up with some code! help um Windows xp pro SP2 To me, it sounds like your system is associating Notepad with your image files. Thus when you double click on an image file, WinXP loads it into Notepad. You need to change that file association. I assume you want to associate your image files with some image viewer program, not Notepad. Sorry, I don't have XP, so I can't step you through it. I'm commenting only because it looks like a couple of the above responses didn't catch on that all you need is to change your file association - and perhaps now somebody that does have XP will jump in here. Find an image file in Windows Elplorer. Right clik it and select "Open With" Scroll to the proper program and highloght it. Check the box at the bottom stating " Always use this program"ok il tell u the hole thing of whats happening when i double click an image - i dont get anything! when i select choose program to change it the "choose program Box" doesnt pop up only a notepad pops up with a code of the image i think all i want to know is how can i change this and is there any way i dont have to use choose program to change tihs!!! pls help! Are you right clicking the files, or are you using the "open with" OPTION on the Windows Explorer "file" menu?
