Answer» I've RECENTLY had to recover my system and now the speakers don't work. The problem seems to be that on my audio tab on the "Sound, Speech, and Audio Devices" there is no default playback device shown. Also when I go to All Programs/Music/Multichannel Sound Manager and try to do a speaker test, I get a message at the bottom that says "Cannot load wave file for testing". However on my "sound recording window, the REALTEK AC 97 shows up. I downloaded the latest driver, but still it does not show up. How can I fix this? 2nd issue is that after recovering the system my "C" DRIVE shows only 637mb free space I have a 185gb drive. I have removed all of my added software and the "Add/Remove Programs" that are LISTED only equal up to 1.4 gb of space. What is taking up the other free space that is not listed on the "Add/ Remove Programs"? Any help would be appreciated.
