Answer» Hi..
I'm using Win XP Home Edition and after using for a couple of day, i got 2 problems. i FIND out that System32/drivers/ntfs.sys is corrupt, so i ran the xp cd.
Then i found out i can't boot from cd because my acpi.sys file is missing.
How do i resolve this problem?. Any help is appreciated.Since you have the xp boot disk.
1>restart the pc and boot from the xp disk 2>ENTER recovery mode by pressing R when asked 3>enter the admin password if set else just press enter 4>then type copy x:\i386\acpi.sys c:\windows\system32\drivers [where x is the drive LETTER for cd rom and c:\ is the primary where xp is INSTALLED] 5>press yes (Y) if asked to overwrite 6>reboot the system (type exit) 7> you are done
