Solve : 2 questions...?

Answer»

Hi..I'm new to this forum...and i have 2 questions:

first (not too serious)

Whenever I click a link to a photo on the internet (suppose photobuket)
my firefox crashes...can anyone help?

SECOND (priority)

I play maplestory, but i heard it can occur to other games
the BSoD (blue screen of death).
Every time i quit the game maplestory, my computer shuts down and the BSoD shows up. Heres what it says:

"A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer.
The problem seems to be caused by the follorwing file: dump_wmimmc. sys
DRIVER_UNLOADED_W/O_CACELLING_PENDING_OPERATIONS
..........................
Check to make sure any new hardware or software is properly installed.
........................
If PROBLEMS continue, disable or remove any NEWLY installed hardware or software.
Disable BIOS memory options such as caching or shawdowing. If you need to use safe mode to remopve or disable components restart your computer...........

I know the dump_wmimmc.sys comes from GameGuard, a program that blocks HACKS from entering Maplestory.

Thanks for reading..hope you guys answer!

"Okay so after reading all of this it's pretty much been determined that:

1. This is not a DRIVER issue, so the Windows BSOD error message is invalid.
2. It is not an antivirus error; your antivirus software does not need to be uninstalled.
3. Uninstalling/reinstalling will not help.
4. nProtect is clearly not accepting emails. (So I reccomend spam mailing Wizet, heh.)
5. Video cards are not the problem.
6. Maplestory itself is not the problem. (If it falters with Gunbound, too.)"Welcome to the CH forums.

Re: Second.
This is not a 'new' problem and seems to be directly linked to non-action by nProtect. Read here and here both dated mid 2006..

I sure don't have a cure for the problem.

Thanks

"This Stop messages indicates that a driver failed to cancel pending operations before exiting.

Stop 0xCE messages can occur after installing faulty drivers or system services. If a driver is listed by name, disable, remove, or roll back that driver to confirm that this resolves the error. If so, contact the manufacturer about a possible update."

Does anyone know how to cancel pending operation? It seems to be a problem with nProtect. Do you have the latest version? Is Windows fully updated?

i have the up-to-date version for bothThere seems to be a lot of people reporting problems with dump_wmimmc.sys the driver for nProtect GameGuard, but I'm not finding much on possible solutions.
So I don't think the BSoD you're getting is invalid. It is a problem with the GameGuard driver. (Drivers aren't just for hardware.) It either a conflict with some other software you've got installed or a problem nProtect needs to fix.
