I tried to look if this was anywhere but I didn't find it.

I have three issues with my computer:

1. when I type a web ADDRESS in the address bar on Internet Explorer and hit enter or go, nothing happens.

2. When I TRY to open My Computer it searches but nothing happens.

3. I tried to send a file to a zippped file and it just froze up completely.

I'm at a loss for what to do to fix this. It's my work computer and I can't do anything. I'm running Window XP Media Center.more info plz? OS when did all of these things start?? any new software install before these things STARTED??
what protections do you have on your computer??
anti-virus? anti-malware??she has xp media center edition , ( xp pro SP2 )
for the IE problem try window's update ( access it though Start, then programs ,near the top of the lists )
check your antivirus programs RUN SCANS , and also try" trend micro "online scan It sounds to me like you might have a virus
or just try a reboot and see if that helps

you could also try a different restore point one from a couple of days ago when it last worked correctlyI have rebooted. Done virus scan, spyware scan and system restore.

I'll try windows upddate but I think I did that already as well.what scans did you do??I did my virus scan, the online one from a previous post and spyware.

None of it has helped so far.whats programs did you use??SBC Yahoo, trend Micro and AVG Free.you only need one antivirus any more can cuase problems, i suggest you keep AVG

also look at my signature and get any programs you dont have they are all free. update them then run the scans in safe mode one at a time
