First..I have run 2 spyware programs...2 antivirus programs..emptied cookies, temp files, etc>...and still have these three problems..any help would be appreciated!!!!

1)...Computer start up is so slooooooooooooooow....don't know why...


2)...On certain random websites..no rhyme or reason.when i click on hyperlinks, pics, other WEBSITE adresses, whatever...nothing happens..it won't work. On other random sites, the links, pics, etc. work fine...Very confusing!!!

3)When I run one particular antivirus program (adelphia's Freedom antivirus software.......I use adelphia cable)...the scan stops at about 35-40%...and just ends.....kapow!...all done...can't figure out why?

You can use TASK Manager to SEE what all is running at startup. That can cause slowdowns as well, but let's make sure the system is clean irst.

Are you running your scans in Safe Mode with Sytem Restore turned off? You didn't post any specific information on what operating system, so we will assume XP.

What specific programs are you running for protection? Hopefully only one antivirus is loaded. More than one can cause problems, and providers rarely give you something more than an e-mail scanner.
