ok the whole desktop wont work thing i think ive found a solution but i dont GET this it SAYS on another fourm    I had the same problem. I ran spysweeper and still couldn't change the wallpaper. Then I opened up redit and navigated to the following entry:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System
"Wallpaper"=SZ:C:\WINDOWS\desktop.html

I deleted this key(I suggest backing it up first), everything seems fine now.


Hope that helps.     does it mean the folder system? or the icon called windowsanyway does it mean delete the tab system or the icon WINDOWS if anyone can help and this works i shall be FOREVER in debted to you ... lol seriously this is the worst virus my pc has hado comon it says veiwed 15 times will SOMEBODY just answer it! Well, if you would make your first post clear, that would help.  Apparently, you're quoting comments from some other forum, but you don't use quotation marks to clearly show what you're quoting and what words of your own are in the message.  So, get your act together and that will improve the chances of getting replies.well after doing that..........my pc is still slow at startup but the wallpaper is fine help LOL.  After doing what?  
halokid you have too many topics going and they are all pretty vague. Why don't you stick to this section and post the problem as it exists now and what you have tried.ok ill just make a new topic and post my current problem in there ok?
I saw it but it is lacking in any details. please posrt ALL of the problems, the computer SPECS, software, the solutions you have tried, etc.  we shouldn't have to dig up all of this information on your computer. take as much time and space as you need and see below.
