Solve : account log in- emails unread? |
|
Answer» We used to have an hotmail account set up through windows messenger. Now that we changed ISPs we use internet through windows live. I cant figure how to get it to SAY how many emails are unread on my actual account now, instead of this old one. The problem is on the page right after you start up the computer, where you select which account to log into. I have tried making windows live the default email browser, and making sure the .net passport is set up for the current email i want. Help me out, how do I get it to change. If you are using your old account for messenger, but using your NEW account for email, you will only be able to see emails for your old account, this cannot be changed. If you are using your old account for messenger, but using your new account for email, you will only be able to see emails for your old account, this cannot be changed. I want the old account COMPLETELY wiped off the computer. It is windows messenger also, instead of msn messenger. I have changed the messenger account to the new one, but there is no contacts on that one, and I want to keep it that way. Still after changing the windows messenger account, it hasnt changed.ALso the old account is supposed to be on another computer and when I just tried to log on, with the other computer, all of my contacts are gone, but I didnt delete any contacts on the other computer.bump Quote from: indyblue250 on January 03, 2008, 07:40:41 PM bumpNo need to bump, 2 HOUR wait isnt much... I think that one POSSIBLE issue might be Windows attempting to access your Passport account (XP is part of the Passport era, unfortunately...) Click Start> Control Panel> (Find User Accounts)> (Select your account)> Somewhere in there, there should be a Hotmail/MSN/Passport setting. Change it to your new address. BTW: NEVER Use the XP Passport setting for a shared computer, as it will allow users on your computer to access this information. The problem has to be something like getting that account log in page to refresh. It still says I have 1768 emails unread when I have accumulated more than that the last few days.i guess no help with this one? Thanks anyway though guys |
