I have tried all the solutions posted, but nothing worked. How can I get my desktop back?Yes, I have, after removing a bad stick of RAM from a computer. The desktop shortcuts still remained, though, but the wallpaper was the Active Desktop Recovery notification. I right-clicked on the desktop, clicked "Properties," went to the "Desktop" tab, and selected a new wallpaper. Everything went fine after that.A big Thank You. That was simple.
