Solve : Active Mixer Devices?

I have an old computer from my dad that I have been improving and upgrading. I am running Windows XP PROFESSIONAL. Everything works great except I have no sound. When I open itunes or when I go to control panel - sound & audio devices I keep getting a "no audio device" or "active MIXER devices UNAVAILABLE". How do I resolve my audio device problems so that I can get sound? Thanks for the help.Download everest

Open it, click Computer, then Summary.
In upper menu, go REPORT>Quick Report-Summary
