Solve : Add Network Printer?

Answer»

I'm trying to add a printer to my laptop, which is connected WIRELESSLY to my network. The printer is set as shared on my desktop. When I click add printer, I choose the network option. Then on the next screen I choose browse for printer, then the results are just my two computer names and the workgroup name that I have set. No printers are displayed. Am I doing something wrong?ANYONE?Gee, it's only been 20 minuttes!

Click on the computer that is physically connected to the printer. What happens? Is that printer set up to be a shared item? Have you done any research on this?  Ever set this up before? Did you get material with your router? Tried google?

The Printer is setup to be shared. I haven't done any research but, I have done this before on my dad's network. Same situation. (with wireless and what not) And it worked just fine.Read through that MS article, then check out the router mannufacturer's web site. You didn't bother to MENTION what operating system or the equipment, by the way, so I can only offer generic answers.I'm running windows xp pro on both computers. The Printer is an HP PCS 1310 series. On another note, the comp that is directly hooked up to the printer is having INTERNET problems. It won't let me login into certain sites such as, Yahoo, or USBank. It says it was unable to establish a conncetion to the server... Any ideas on how to solve this?Sound like a separate issue that will need to be resolved first. How about POSTING a new thread in the Hardware Forum  or here (not both).
