It may truly be required, but I'd try to get some more support directly from Dell, or this site, before you try it. This is a good point, sometimes those support people throw wild SOLUTIONS at with without considering carefully what your situation is.............did you ever take out the RAM from your computer and look at the specs./info. on them.......like I suggested I certainly AGREE!
