Hello i have two administrators accounts i didn't realize that until the other day when i went to the other Account that i don't use i went into control PANEL and realized that that account can do somethings like change my other administrators account password then i realized that that account was also an administrators account i tried to change the account under change the account type in user accounts under to limited but the limited checked box and words saying limited or grey and when i clicked on it nothing happens is there a way i can delete it it says i can when i move my mouse over the account it says Change the persons account imformations such as the account type name, password or picture or delete this account. but when i open the account all the options i get or.

Change the name

Change the password

Remove the password

Change the picture

And Change the account type but i can't change it and i don't use that account anyway so i would like to get RID of it if i can't do this under user accounts is there any other place i could try this

I don't see no delete option in there.


you can always delete the user account if you are absolutely sure that you don’t need that user account anymore. Right-click on “My Computer” and choose “Manage”.Navigate down through “Local Users and GROUPS” and then Users, and then locate the username in the list that you’d like to get rid of.Just right-click and choose Delete. Note that this step cannot be reversed, so make sure you only delete accounts you really really don’t want anymore!

I almost had a heart attack i clicked log of to see if it was deleted, It was but when i clicked on my normal account and nothing happend, I couldn't type in a password, I went into the guest account and came back out to see if it would WORK and it did.


How come with my account i need to type in my original password to make a new ONE. But with the other account i didn't have to do that that's why i wanted to get rid of it i want other people to use my computer but the guest account is limited to somethings i don't want it to but in user accounts i don't see how i can make a power user all i seem to be able to make or administraters accounts.
