Solve : Adobe Flash Player problem (please help!)?

I think currently, there is only the 32 bit version of flash player. In that case, 64 bit Internet EXPLORER can't use it.

This is inaccurate at best...32bit Flash runs fine on 64bit systems...

Use the Flash uninstaller Here...

Then reboot and reinstall a fresh version...i have tried uninstalling flash and then installing a fresh version numerous times, and it does not work. i have tried system restore, and i have tried switching to 32-bit. nothing is working.Have you tried any web browsers other than IE?

If you go to http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/, what does that page tell you?IE is the only web browser I have. Do you think if I download another browser, flash would work?Yes. I suggest Firefox since it's an easier transition from IE, but you could ALSO try Chrome or Opera. I have IE8 and Firefox on my laptop. Each browser must be separately updated with Flash. So, having a problem with Flash is one browser does not mean the other browser will have a problem with Flash.

But, here's something to consider regarding Chrome. It's bundled with Flash. In other words, if you download and install Chrome, Flash will is automatically installed at the same time. Yes!!!!! I installed Chrome and it works!!! Thank you so much Quote from: patio on September 21, 2010, 06:03:09 PM

Patio, I said 64 bit internet explorer can't use 32 bit flash player,

I never said that 64 bit windows can't use 32 bit flash player.

Two different things. Did you read that wrong??? Quote

I agree, but I've got to add my two cents worth.

Of all the STUFF I've downloaded over the years, I've had more problems with flash than any other program. I'm sure that's one of the reasons Apple avoids using flash.

I also read today that Adobe stock is at it's lowest level in years.

And it's all related.Quote
Adobe is working with Microsoft to resolve Flash Player installation issues with Internet Explorer 7 Protected Mode on Windows Vista.

Note: This issue may affect users with Flash Player 9.0.28.0 and later. Flash Player 9.0.28.0 is the first version to support Windows Vista

http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/401/kb401499.html

The issue is more about installing and viewing flash contents since IE7 on Windows Vista. If this is resolved in this link, there are some solutions presented that may be related or vary on IE8. on a last note, if everyone were using chrome, then you'd get less issues with flash.

Why Apple doesn't just offer google chrome for people who want flash but otherwise you don't get it. Would that have helped?Quote from: patio on September 22, 2010, 02:33:47 PM

It can't. In fact no 64-bit program can even load a 32-bit library. That in and of itself is the source of the problem.

Same old stuff that happened with the 16-bit -> 32-bit switch, only now there are a lot more people using PCs on a daily basis.

Why?

I meant to say, it already comes with flash so you don't need to install it or upgrade it or whatever. It's done for you automatically.
