Solve : Adobe Reader failed to read larg files? |
|
Answer» HI friends, I have installed Adobe Reader8.0 in my friend's PC it got failed reading files of size more than 2MB. first I thought, it must be a fault in software itself but when I analyzed that same setup is working FINE in my own PC but not in that then I came to be sure that it must be a SYSTEM concerned issue. when I try to open the LARGE files, adobe readers takes too much time to prepare itself for reading pages and ultimately it comes to be hanged. interestingly, the target PC shows a whole part of its total main memory/RAM. when I saw, My Computer->Properties->hardware I did see, 512MB of RAM. actually that system have a DDR2 SDRAM of 512MB. but my own system shows a total of 448MB RAM even though it has DDR2 SDRAM 512MB. I think some part of the total main memory engaged by video system. well, whatever the reason is there I am not sure. please you tell me. thanks in advance. Try Foxit. I have found it to work better than adobe and its faster. http://www.foxitsoftware.com/pdf/rd_intro.php would you please explain the memory issue in target system that I have given the information for?Sounds like 64MG is being borrowed for video...any ONE else have any analisys regarding this problem? And this is probably what it is.99 times out of 100 the RAM is used for video as Patio said. |
