Get Adaware SE, Spybot S&D and Windows Defender. Scan in safe mode. thank you all my problems have gone away spybot s and d had FOUND 10 problems one of them included microsoft security antivirus override???Probably a pseudo for some malicious piece of spyware, everything those programs find are HOSTILE and should be REMOVED. If you can not remove them, you're most likely not scanning from safe mode. sorry to sound like an idiot but how do i scan in safe modeBefore Windows loads, press F8 and choose Safe Mode from the list. 2jzlux...i got a kick out of your thread title..."aggressive pop-ups" Is there any other kind ? ? I had pop-ups that looked like W-updates, and I said I was suspious of them, but there were no comments from the gallery as to it possibly being malicious. If I can find it, I shall post, and have time. Oh and, . . . BTW, . . about all these updates and automatic etc. can I take a discription of them from A/R, then take it to MSQ, and find out exactly what it is suppose to be for or possibly doing ? Jp P.S. I think I'll change my users name to Post-Toasties. |
