Solve : All I Get Are Spreadsheets? HELP!?

Hello, I sure do hope you can help me. I have a 2003 Dell 4300 Desktop with Windows XP.
Whenever I try to open a pdf file I always get a spreadsheet. I NEVER USED to have this problem. Any suggestions or download fixes would be greatly appreciated.

Example: Whenever trying to open an instuction manual I always get a spreadsheet instead of the instruction manual.

BuckusWhen you double-click on a PDF file, does Microsoft Excel open - is that what you mean?  Do you get any error MESSAGES at the time?When trying to open a PDF file a pop-up from Microsoft Works
says:
        X  Cannot access the document C:......pdf.
           The document may already be open or it may be a
           read-only document. 
           The name and path may be invalid,the document may
           no longer exist, or it may be already open.
I strongly suspect that uninstalling an reinstalling your favourite PDF reader will fix this.  If you don't have a favourite, try Foxit Reader.Rob Pomeroy,

I uninstalled Adobe Reader 9 and uninstalled Acrobat. Then installed FOXIT Reader. My problem SEEMS to be solved. I was able to open an instruction manual that I was unable to open before. THANKS AGAIN!

I'm just not sure what effects uninstalling Acrobat will cause. I don't remember why I originally installed it.

Buckusyou uninstalled adobe reader and then uninstalled Acrobat. Maybe that's causes a problem? Just having adobe reader only? That's what I have and it works fine.Glad you got it sorted Buckus.
