Ok do you know the IE or maybe its the MS Ping noise that you get when a download or project is finished?

Well I am randomly getting that audio sound coming over my lap top speakers for no reason; no PROJECTS are happening !

Any ideas as to whats going on and how to STOP the " Ping " ! ? : )this is dictation. This is dictation.

Your question or problem is hard to UNDERSTAND. Is this something you have observed before on other computers? Or is this a condition that only occurs on the COMPUTER you are now using? And in the past have you been able to resolve this issue?
When you say p"ping" do you mean some kind of noise that occurs periodically?does adjusting the volume control make a difference? Do you get the sound. If using only the headphones?Do you have a MICROPHONE connected and activated?Yes that's what; ping sounds like when the volume gets turned up or down; I get that " Ping " hum like 5/6 times a day and I am not touching the volume control down next to the clock; so whats with that and how do I end this never ending sound ? : )Look in Control Panel - Sounds and see what that sound is associated with
