In my win7 laptop is already installed office2003. i uninstalled it and installed office2010.then i created a new file in excel and save it(EXTENSION .xlsx).though it is excel format,but its not seems excel icon. in recommended program microsoft excel is not exist. by using browse i could not add or open any excel files.(Under C:\Program Files x86\Microsoft Office\Office12\excel.exe"))in another way, first microsoft excel open and these excel files could open easily through open dialogue box in microsoft excel.i could not open it when doulble click on it.in recommended program an excel.pip program already exists.i could not remove it. i uninstalled office 2010 and again installed it.office 2010 installed SUCCESSFULLY. but excel.pip program automatically added in recommended program.microsoft word program is working good. microsoft word exists in recommended program.any saved excel files to see in excel icon which setting i will APPLY?.You already have an active thread on this subject.
