Answer»

Hello First let me start off with showing you my CPU's stuff...

AMD Sempron(tm) Processor 3500+
2.00GHz 1.96 RAM
Nvidia GEFORCE 6150.
Creative Sound Blaster Live!

Well, I have a PROBLEM. Every time I put my microphone in
and go on Ventrillo or something(Any microphone activity), the screen freezes for a SECOND then gets all distorted, and makes like a weird screeching sound (From speakers)
Anyone know something about this?Travel to Device Manager and see if you have any Yellow ! !'s...
Sounds like a driver issue which can be solved pretty easily.Alright we are getting somewhere,
Other Drivers, Audio Sevice High Definition Audio Bus.
Also there is another device that is unknown...
Know what?Did you get a Driver CD with this machine ? ?
I'm not sure what you mean by "know what " ?Well, I got no Driver CD. What do I do now?Dload;install and run Everest Home...
Have it run a report and save the result as a text file...

Click Here...  and jump thru the hoops with the card info and Windows version to grab the proper drivers...DLoad install them and re-boot ...
Any change ? ?Ill do that...but. What does this have to do with Audio Sevice High Definition Audio Bus I said before? It means one or more of your audio component drivers is corrupt/malfunctioning...
Hence the re-install.OK, well I tried Live!>Sound Blaster Live!> Downloaded. Installed.
...STILL doesn't work I tried out the diagnostic, and here were the results

Everything passed except for....

Mixer Driver
SoundFront Setting Test
Mixer setting Test

These all failed....Think this might be the problem? If you are using the front panel connections on the machine than yes this is where the problem is......Sorry Im not that good on CPU (Only for internet)
But how can I tell if I am using front panel connections? Is the mike plugged into the front of the machine ? ?
If so try the rear connectors.
