Solve : authui.dll faulty, logon screen missing?

Answer»

I was trying to change my authui.dll file to edit my logon screen, but something went WRONG and my logon screen is now missing, sending me to a black screen, it is impossible to get on to my computer. What should I do? The original authui.dll files are still on my computer, I copied them just incase I wanted to change my edits back, but I can't reach them as my computer can't GO past the logon screen.Boot to safemode...open a command prompt from Start/Accessories...type in sfc /scannow and hit Enter.Quote from: patio on February 22, 2013, 03:14:43 PM

Boot to safemode...open a command prompt from Start/Accessories...type in sfc /scannow and hit Enter.
I tried it, but I get the same black screen on Safe Mode as i do on Normal. Is there any other way to get to Command Prompt? (Safe Mode w/ Prompt) doesn't work either.Depends on which Win version.Quote from: patio on February 22, 2013, 03:27:35 PM
