Solve : auto fill in?

Answer»

I have a new W7 Pro PC just set up. In both IE 8 and IE 9 and Chrome, it has saved my user's name and password which is fine, but everytime I go to that webpage, it fills in the login boxes for me and logs me in! I can not even get their fast enough to change the user's name and it is already loading the next page.
I have uninstalled the IE 9 update, then removed IE 8 and then reinstalled through the control panel. Chrome, I haven't tried anything but remove cookies and history. Still no resolution.
Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks, LAMIs this happening with only one website or does is happen with any website that requires login?

Do you have any malware and anti-virus protection installed on your computer yet? We are protected from a firewall with antivirus and I will install MS security essentials. And it is on 2 different sites....so far.

This does not make sense. What is your anti-virus called. Do you have a firewall installed or just use the windows firewall

You should NEVER have 2 anti-virus installed......If you clear your cookies using CCleaner the auto login won't happen...I'm not a regular user of IE or Chrome.  Saving passwords in IE has always seemed a bit clumsy to me.  Opera has been my primary browser for months now and I like the way it saves passwords.  I've never experienced the behavior you describe regarding sites requiring login.   We have a Sonicwall installed at the internet router to filter sites and keep our network clean. There is only one antivirus PROGRAM installed on the PC. I have already CLEARED all cookies and temp. files on both browsers. Will try CCleaner asap.

thank you

Do you 'log out' of these sites?

Yes, that is the crazy thing. I log out and it brings me to the home page, then fills it in on its own and then logs me in again!  If I close the page and then open again (while no other browsers are open) it autofills the login credentials without any help from me and logs me in as if I hit the enter key.Update to the issue: I installed C Cleaner through IE and ran it. It cleared out the user names and passwords for IE. I tried to reinstall C Cleaner through Chrome but it is still looping.  Quote from: LAM168 on May 15, 2012, 10:42:09 AM

OK, so did that resolve the issue with IE?

That makes no sense.  You don't install CCleaner through any browser.  It's a program.  You just download it one time, which can be done with any browser, and then install it.  Once installed, CCleaner's temporary Internet FILE and cookie cleanup utility covers all browsers installed.  And, what do you mean by "looping"?Couldn't agree more...That's why I am asking about this here. It doesn't make any sense. I did see that the C Cleaner was cleaning cookies and form information from all the browsers, but I was reaching when I just downloaded it through Chrome because it resolved the IE problem, but not in Chrome. I even unistalled Chrome and when I reinstalled, and start the browser, it still fills in my email address for my gmail and my password and then brings me to my mail with no input at all from me.

I have come to the conclusion that I should reinstall Windows.

this is one for the history books. I will come back and let you know if I am able to find a better resolution.

It seems like google chrome as an auto sign in ?? As stated here -
http://www.extremetech.com/mobile/95063-google-chrome-single-signon

So a re-install would not change anything, just use another browser!

Are you actually signing out of your Google account before you close Chrome, or are you simply closing the browser when you're finished?
