Answer» hi. my computer is a windows xp pro with SP2. When i turn on my computer it does a DISK scan for C: drive. After its finished my computer restarts automatically and the process starts over again. When i skip the disk check it loads to the Welcome sign and it just freezes.And what happened prior to this problem? SEE my signature. sorry my uncle gave me the computer and said it had no problems. when i plugged it in and turned it on it gets to the desktop and there was a rundll32.dll error and seconds later it restarted automatically. So i ran the computer in safe mode and scheduled a disk scan for C: driveSince there is no personal DATA on the PC yet, you may want to consider reinstalling Windows XP to START with a fresh installation and not having to deal with all the problems your uncle left you? ASSUMING you have a Windows XP installation CD and working serial.
