If its really irritatiing you then you could TRY installing a fresh copy of WINDOWS.autochk.exe is a part of the Microsoft Windows operating system. It ALLOWS funcationality to revert core system settings BACK to their origional state, and to backup where necessary. You should have autochk.exe in the C:\Windows\System32 folder and in your hidden C:\I386 folder or on your CD.
Your OS is probably trying to run - chkdsk
