Solve : Autocomplete for passwords?

Answer»

Ah, for my first post, I have a TRICKY question.  I am using Windows XP.  I know how to clear HISTORY and passwords with AutoComplete.  It is easy to do if you want to clear all your passwords.

BUT......I do NOT want to go into AutoComplete and have it clear ALL my passwords. The ones that are there are correct and there is no need to clear and reenter them (especially since I probably WOULD not remember them all anyway).

The problem is, there are a few sites that I went to and the first time entering the site, when Windows asked if I wanted to remember the password I said no.  Now, of course, Windows no longer asks if it should remember the password ON THAT SITE, and I have to enter it by hand every time.

Is there a way to force Windows to ask to remember the passwords for those few sites WITHOUT having to RUN Auto Complete and delete them all? Or is there a place they are stored in the registry that I can ADD a password for a site?  Had I put the wrong one in, it would be easy to correct - but making it remember when it was told not to is the problem.

This is certainly not earthshattering, but it is frustrating.  Any assistance would be appreciated.

Thanks!
This won't help you now, but if you use Firefox instead of INTERNET Explorer (which you probably should), it lets you manually edit each entry.
