Answer» How can I edit the AUTOEXEC.BAT file in a Windows XP environment? (I have installed a GIS program that requires me to modify it, but I can't find it in my pc)C:\AUTOEXEC.BAT (it's a hidden file) And there's nothing TO edit...last time I checked, that file was COMPLETELY empty (size: 0KB)..You have to make changes in Environment Variables. To do this, right-CLICK on My Computer and click Properties. GO to the ADVANCED tab and click Environment Variables. There should be all the stuff that AUTOEXEC.BAT normally would have.
