Solve : Autoexec.nt_file?

Answer»

When I try running some of my old programs I get a message that says 16 bit subsystem at the top of the box and c:\windows\system32\autoexec.nt. the SYSTEM file is not suitable for running MS-DOS and Microsft Windows applications. Chose "close" to Terminate the Application. when I did a search on this file I found it a folder called repair and in I386 with the exention of .NT_
Do I need to get a new one or how do I fix this file and also where should it reside? Thankshttp://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;324767

[GLB]Flame[/glb]I tried what you suggested but I kept getting the message "cannot expand" I did a search on the cd and the folder I386 does not exist and I could not find autoexec.nt on ANYWHERE else on the cdMy problem has been solved   thanksHow did you solved the problem?I happened to find a copy of the orginal autoexec.nt file in a folder c:/windows/repair the exention was different but I looked at it using the edit command at the DOS prompt and it LOOK like there was nothing wrong with it. So I moved it to c:\windows\system32 and it worked.Opps forgot to mention I changed the extention to .nt before I moved it.
