Solve : Automatic Log-off no longer working? |
|
Answer» After my first problem was fixed so quickly and easily, I thought i would try and get an answer to problem number 2. I use xp pro and have 3 users, me, my WIFE and my daughter. Up until about 3 weeks ago, if any of us was logged on and walked away without logging off, the PC would revert to the user log-on screen after a period of inactivity. The screen would go blank and when you wanted to go in again you had to logon. Now, when you WALK away the screen goes blank but the last person using the PC is still logged on. I wanna revert to the other scenario. Can you tell me if this is a Windows thing or do I need to get into the BIOS?? TIA for your helpIt is strictly a Windows thing.Ok...... so how do I fix it pls??As I see it, this issue is easily resolved by going into desktop properties. Go to the screen-saver tab and click on power settings. While in that window click the advanced tab and check the option that reads: prompt for password when computer returns from standby. |
