Solve : automatic user log in? |
|
Answer» I am running Windows 7 home Premium. In an attempt to get administrative privileges, I created a new account thinking I could log on using it . Previously I had had an automatic log on of my user account, no pw or user name. After this CHANGE and trying for an hour to figure it out I DECIDED to go back to my old user log in. Please try to go to Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\User Accounts, click Manager User Accounts; in the users list, select the particular user which you want to remove password, and try to reset the password with a BLANK password to check if it can work.Still, for some operations you need the password. Here is a link that might OFFER some help. Or at least explain the problem Accessing Local Security Policy in Windows 7 Home Premium That link is a forum discussion and does not provide a clear answer. For the moment, that is the best I can offer. If you decide to edit the registry, make a registry backup first. The link below is for Vista http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-vista/Change-password-policy-settings |
