Answer» Big problem which I can't seem to solve. When using my PC, with or without disc in drive, I constantly get a message box with flashing torch entitled autoplay. At the same time the bottom task bar shows numerous instances of "autoplay". If I am in a programme then I get thrown BACK to the desktop. This is worst when I am playing games. Sometimes I am thrown straight back out as soon as I have got back into the game and on some games I can only get a few seconds of gameplay before I am thrown back to the desktop. At the same time the autoplay message box shows and the bottom task bar is either filled with autoplay instances or a windows EXPLORER message with a NUMBER in front of it. The largest number I have had is 15. Presumably the number of autoplay instances running. I have, in the past, downloaded many trial programmes and then uninstalled them if they have been no use. I have been told that this may be a reason as the windows uninstall does not fully uninstall the programme. I have tried other uninstall programmes and registry fix programmes, but nothing seems to work. Other than saving what I need and then recovering my hd with the disc that came with the pc then I don't know what else to do. This is driving me scatty.....please HELP before they come to take me away to the funny farm I suspect some infection, rather.
