Answer» Hello
I have WRITTEN a simple autorun.ini file for a CD:
[autorun] shellexecute=index.html ICON=forCD.ico
The autorun works but it does not display the small graphic as it ought to in the My Computer window over the D (CD-ROM) drive. I
have a JPG called forCD and it is in the same directory as the autorun.ini itself.
Many thanks.
Steve
The image files has to be an Icon, not a Jpeg.Hello Carbon
Thanks for your message.
OK, I have changed the name and file format to locklogo.ico and the script as follows:
[autorun] shellexecute=index.html icon=locklogo.ico
It's still not showing as an image over the drive. It looks as if the image is 'there', but missing (as on some Web sites, where images have been REMOVED).
Thanks again.
SteveStrange....
Exactly how did you convert the file to an .ICO?
Also, what is it's size? (dimensions of the icon)It's 72 x 61px. I saved it in Photoshop.
I had it as locklogo.jpg, but in Photoshop's 'Save As' I removed the .jpg and substituted .ico. Then I surrounded locklogo.ico by inverted commas so that I had: "locklogo.ico" and forced the programme to save in that format.
When I look in the directory now, I see it saved as locklogo.ico.
SteveYou cannot do that. You have to Convert the .jpg file. http://www.google.com.hk/search?q=convert+jpg+to+ico&btnG=Search&complete=1&hl=en&sa=2Hello Carbon
I used the LINK you posted - thanks - to convert the image, but I cannot see it still.
This is the script I am USING:
[autorun] shellexecute=index.html icon=locklogo.ICO
and you can see here what 'My Computer' looks like:

Cheers for all your help so far.

Can you attach the icon file to your next post.
